ZOMG, it's about that time of the year....year in review baby!!! I'll be posting it probably just after christmas, so make sure to check back to see if i hit any of my goals for 2008! I really have no idea what the grand total was/is for 2008, so i'm actually excited to crunch some numbers myself!

Been awhile

Not too much has been going on with me lately. Took a MASSIVE hit last weekend following my nice start to the month (standard), but i've grinded it all back, and then some, so i'm feeling pretty good about my game right now. I think my goal was 5k hands of heads up this month, and i'm already at like 7k, and it's going pretty well. I feel like my heads up game is really solid right now, and im looking forward to playing more heads up in 09! Going home for a week 19-26th, so no poker then which kind of sucks, but the break will be nice. Hopefully i can finish this week strong, take a week off, and finish the month even stronger!

Anyway, gonna jet...i have to get up at 415am tomorrow for work (dagger!), so i'm going to bed pretty early tonight. You may notice the pokerstars logo on the top of my blog...im signed up for the world blogging champaionships on stars...its pretty amazing actually...6 free chances at some pretty nice prizes, so wish me luck in those...i think i'll only be able to play 4 of the tournies though. Random thought/ 2 bets

The random thought of the day is for all the people out there that don't have a garage to keep your car in...what are you doing with you life??? Keep scraping the ice off of your car every morning, and waiting 20 minutes for the car to warm up. Get off of felt street and get a house with a garage!

On the poker front, we are 5 days into December, and i'm up about $1300...cue the doomswitch for me bragging how much i'm up. Have a good weekend people...i'm having some money cuban fusion for dinner tonight and 6pm can't come fast enough!

Vegas part 2/ November review

Ended the month up $260...i'm starting to question my poker playing abilities...seriously wtf!!! $260?!?!?!?!?! Granted i only played like 20k hands, this shit is unacceptable. To be honest with you (i'm too lazy to figure it out), but this profit is probably soley from rakeback...i played a little omaha8 and probably lost around $100 this month. Oh well, i'm turning over a new leaf of sorts in December. For the past 3 months, i've dabbled some heads up cash games, for a really nice profit. I've only played 2500 hands at the most though. This month, it's my goal to really try to log at least 5000 hands of heads up poker. 2 problems with this are that i will pretty much be making no rakeback from this, and it's gonna be tough to maintain my iron man status on FTP. I'm still going to grind some full ring too (only to get points to maintain iron man), but i really think i'm gonna give HU a shot. Right now, i'm only 2 tabling, and i feel very comfortable doing this, but to get 5k hands, i may have to try to 3 table...we'll see. I've been practicing EXCELLENT game selection heads up, pretty much refusing to play anybody not playing just 1 table, and refusing to play anybody who's made money looking at table ratings. Yes it can take a little while to find the right opponent, but my winrate is crazy the past 3 months, and i think this is why. Bottom line, i'll keep you posted, but heads up, here i come!

Onto Vegas again. I'll finish off my other big hand from MGM to start. So utg staddles (so -ev IMO), anyway i'm UTG+1 with AK spades...so i make it $16...4 donkeys call, and so does the straddler (u can't fold after straddling right LOL)...flop comes J106 with the J and 10 of spades...so instead of betting out with my royal flush draw, i deciede on putting in a huge check raise when someone bets this flop, so i check...UTG+2 shoves all in for $90...ok, a little bit of an overbet, so my plan is kind of ruined...UTG+3 smooth calls with like $60 behind...WTF!!!! It gets folded to me...i figure i've got 14 outs twice to the stone cold nuts, so i really can't fold...so i decide to just shove....dude who smooth calls tanks (seriously bro, there is like almost $400 in the pot, and your debating calling your last $60)...so eventually he calls...neither of these donks turn their cards over....i just toss mine face up on the table...turn is a K...a nice card seeing as i have TPTK, but i'm still not loving my hand yet...river is a 2...both guys muck, and i take down the monster pot...i think it was pretty standard, but you may differ...

Ok, one funny story from Vegas and thats it...so we're at rumjungle in Mandalay Bay...and we're just sitting at the bar. I'm pretty much not talking to my fiance becuz i'm talking to my buddy about the grind earlier in the day, but she is sitting next to me. Out of left field, the waitress brings over a glass of champaign and says some dude sitting over there wants her to have this drink HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Seriously, guys may be the most pathetic ppl. on the planet!! Nice pick up line bro...so, she tries to refuse it, but tthe waitress is wierd, and says she can't...so she takes it, but doesn't want to drink out of it...so i proceeded to have the finest glass of champagne i've ever tasted...right in front of this tool LOL...i really wanted to go up to him and thank him for the glass of champaign i've ever tasted, becuz i think that would've been priceless, but i decieded against it...the fiance has pictures of me sipping on the champagne on her facebook, so you should check them out....the 4 of us spent like 3 hours straight mocking this guy, and thinking of zingers for me to say to him thanking him for the champagne...good times, good times.

Back From Vegas...online poker sucks

So, i'm back from vegas. Sorry for the lack of updates this month, it's been a pretty busy month for me, and to be honest, i really haven't put many hands in. Not to mention the fact that its pretty much a breakeven month which just makes me ill. First day back from vegas, i win about $350 playing cash games....and proceed to lose $320 of it yesterday...F online poker!!!


I'll be posting the month review in the next couple days, but i'm seriously thinking about moving to heads up full time...i've been dabbling in HU for the past 4 months or so, and every month, i've made a few hundo, this month is no different. I've actually been watching a bunch of HU videos too, and i feel like i can crush HU. I still like full ring, and need to play it to accumulate my full tilt points, but i may try to get half my hands for December in playing HU, and half full ring.


On to the Vegas report. Im gonna keep it pretty brief, and maybe next post, i'll add a few more tidbits, but i'm lazy right now. 1st day grinded some 1-2nl at Planet Hollywood (i read their cash games were terrible there). After 5 hours of play, i ended up with a stack of $302...for a $2 profit ZOMG!!! WTF!! A very unexciting day, although i really felt like i played some solid poker! I lost $135 on one hand, and that was about the only big hand i played. Never really pciked up a big hand, and just won small pot after small pot. The one exciting hand. I pick up AJ spades and bump it to 12...sb calls (some crazy brother who just lost $300 about 4 hands ago). Flop comes Q88...he checks, i bet $18...he calls (at this point i'm putting him on probably nothing...possibly a small pair like 33 or soemthing). Turn is one of the few cards in the deck i'm actually betting...K of spades...now i've got the royal flush draw....brother checks, and i deciede to bet $50 (K was a great card for me to represent since most donkeys put the pre flop raiser on AK). The brother thinks for a while and calls (WTF!!! i still feel he has the small pocket pair right now, thats why he's playing it so passive). River brings the Q of hearts for a final board of QQ88K...now the brother sits there for a minute and donks $50 into me...now at first this looks like a clear fold, but the more i thought about it, the more it looked like he really did have 22-77 and now he just got counterfieted, and if he checked, there was no way he was gonna win the pot, since he was playing the board....so after a few minutes, i deicede to call $50 with Ace high...and he turns over 33 ( LOL i wish), prick turns over KQ for the boat, NH sir! OOPS!!! Other then that...not much happened the 1st day.


Friday we go grind at MGM and grind for like 6 hours. Ended up like $325. 2 big hands were played, so i'll go over those, then i'll end this post since its getting to be a bit long. So its about my 7th hand at the table, and i pick up 86 soooooooted...since live poker is a joke, i deciede to limp utg+1 since utg limped as well....we see the flop 6 handed...it comes 10-8-6 (money!!!), bb checks, and utg bets $35...LOL WTF!!!! 35 into a 12 pot...so i'm very confused at this point, so i just smooth call, everyone else folds, turn is a 2...this guy pushes all in for $400 LOL....i was literally floored!!! I have to have this guy beat right??????? I don't know about to you guys, but to me, it looked like this donkey limped UTG with AA or KK hoping to limp re raise, and he ended up getting stuck in a 6 way pot, and was gonna win it no matter what....so i sat there for longer then i ever have at a poker table trying to get something out of this guy...i tell him i have 2 pair, i i'd bet the house he has AA or KK...eventually, i just muck, since i just sat down, and who knows, this guy could have anything since i don't know anything about him...i muck face up...the other 7 donkeys at the table proceed to start ripping me saying how the F can you fold there...and this UTG donkey deciedes to show us 10-8, for a higher 2 pair....he then says he didn't want anyone to suck out, thats why he went all in LOL wow buddy, you just saved me my stack...ty very much!! Anyway, i thought it was a pretty good laydown, even though i really still thought he misplayed AA.


Ok, thats enough for now, i'll post the other big hand from MGM next time....putting in $150 with no pair is VERY +ev IMO lol. Off to the tables

I think i felted a squirel today

So, i'm about 99% sure i felted a squirel today driving...pretty sure it's the 1st squirel i've ever hit when driving, so RIP little man. In other news, i'm off to VEGAS BABY tomorrow!!!!!!!! It's gonna be pretty epic! The wife is coming so it won't be a 100% grinding trip, which is good, but i'll still be able to get in a few hours each day i think...who knows, maybe i'll mix in a donkament too. We're staying at Cesars Palace, so needless to say, its gonna be pretty solid! I'm hoping to have at least 1 celeb run in whole we're out there...preferably a poker player, but i'll settle for my boy michael phelps, eventhough i've already played poker with him b4 (if you're reading this Mike...keep mucking those Kings preflop LOL).


Anyway, gotta run, gotta watch the end of real chance of love, then have to pack and get some sleep becuz for some reason, i don't think i'll be getting much sleep in vegas (just a hunch). I should have a pretty epic trip report when i come home!

October Review

Ended up being just shy of a 3k month! It's nice to book a decent winning month after a couple of blah months. I'll start with pokerstars. After discovering those double or nothing sngs, i just killed them! I really need to concentrate on playing more of these in november (its hard becuz they really aren't that fun, and its not good for my poker game, but its easy money). Ended up making like $1625 in October on stars pretty much all from sngs.

As for fulltilt, as you can see, my graph is an F ing joke, but at the end of the month, i ended up banking $1275 on fulltilt (half from playing, half from rakeback....about $550 worth). The sad thing I won $250 of the $600 playing heads up cash. I think i'm really going to start mixing in quite a bit of HU in november seeing as i can't win playing fullring anymore.

I've been contemplating mixing in 1 or 2 200nl tables. Not sure if i'm actually gonna do it, but if i see a known fish playing 1/2, i'll def sit in the game. We'll see how that goes..i really don't have much experiance playing 200nl, but i'm confident i can maintain my 100nl winrate there.

Been awhile!

So it's been a little while since i updated here, so here ya go. For starters, hopefully nobody listened to my 2 "locks" of the week for college football, both lost...i should've posted my nfl picks too since 2 of the 3 won, but oh well...theres always next week!


I mentioned it last post, but i've switched to a "new" game they have at pokerstars. They are double or nothing sngs. These things seem like the easiest money EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically its a 10 man sng, and 5 ppl. win...if its a $20 sng, you get $40. In the past week, i've won a pretty decent amount just playing these alone. However, i'm writting this blog after the grossest session of all time. I literally lost about 4 or 5 70-30 all ins in a row, then lost a 80-20. What ive been doing is firing up 9 of these at a time, and going to town. Usually i've been going 6 for 9 or 5 for 9, and i've only had 3 losing "block of 9's" in well over 200 sngs (this last one i won 2 of 9....sick). Anyway, for the time being, these seem like easy money. The downfall is, the game is about as far from poker as i've ever seen...i can't believe how many times ive folded AA KK QQ pre flop...but, right now, i'll go where the money is, and worry about improving my game a little later.


For those of you who are new readers, i use to play sngs as my main form of poker, so i have a decent background playing them. I started out playing the $20...and quickly moved to the $30 sngs and would usually play 4 at a time...3 $30's and 1 $50...this was a nice little routine i had, but i just got sick of tournament play. You can literally play perfect poker thw whole time, but your life comes down to a flip a lot of the time. There is never any room to make a play without pot committing yourself, so its bascially shove or fold poker...i feel comfortable doing this, but it gets old pretty fast, hence the reason i switched over to cash games. So i imagine i'll continue playing these until the games dry up, or i just get sick of losing 60-40's or coin flips, or even worse 80-20's.


On the cash game front, i actually played A TON of hands for me in the first week of october, so my hand total is still pretty high for only being halfway through the month, but i really haven't played much this past week. So far, i'm in the positives, which is all i really care about at this point, factor in the rakeback, and i;m having a pretty good month so far. If i can have the same last 2 weeks, as these first 2 weeks, i will be a happy man!!


Ok, thats it for now...btw, work is going ok, and really hasnt cut into my poker playing too much which is nice!!!

ZOMG i sucked out!!

So, for the 1st time i can remember in a LONG time, i grossly sucked out on some donkey with a 2 outer. I have KK and raise, get 1 caller...flop comes 972... he checks, i bet, he calls...turn is a 2...he INSTA shoves his stack, like $75 into a $25 pot...im like wtf!!! His stats seemed normal, but i just couldn't put him on a hand that beat me...i was thinking he has 9-7 and just got whored by the 2 on the turn, but i wasn't sure...so i make the call...he turns over 99...LOL...seriously wtf!! plays like this should never get rewarded...and this one didnt....K on the river...gg sir. It felt so good to hit that 2 outer...i can't even count how many times it's happened to me lately, so i'll take min and revel in it!!


Played in another stars donkament yesterday and final tabled it. It was my 1st time playing those 8 game tournies (which is basically HORSE with PLO, nl holdem, and 2-7 triple draw). I have played some cash in all of them, so i am very familar with the games, but never in a tournament. Ended up coming in 5th. Once again, it was GAY limit hold em that i busted on. Once again, just like Saturday, i had the best hand when the money went in and ended up on the rail. I was kind of enraged at how this one went down too. I had like 4bb (was the short stack) and pick up A9 on the button...it gets folded to me, so i raise...the BB 3 bets me (so i feel like i'm in trouble now), i raise it back putting me all in...he calls...and turns over Q6 offsuit...WTF!!!! Q on the flop...gg me. I mean seriously, he 3 bets Q6 into a guy who has 2 big bliunds left...im not folding, and you aren't beating ANYTHING!!!! It sucks becuz that would've put me 3rd in chips...oh well...so goes the life of donkaments.

So this is like the 400th blog of the month so far, but hey, a lot is going on. Decieded to play a few donkaments today seeing as this is the 1st weekend i've had NOTHING planned and took 3rd in a Horse donkament for $150. I came into the final table 6th, but was just card dead...factor in the 6 out of 7 hands in a row i was the bring in, and all 6 of those pots were raised, i pretty much lost half my stack and was just trying to hang on to place a few spots higher since 1st and 2nd had like 60k chips, and 3rd had like 14k ( i was around 10k). Anyway a few donks busted, and next thing i know, we are 3 handed. So there very 1st hand, i pick up 77 in the bb (planning to go broke here)...so button raises...i 3 bet him, he calls, flop comes KKQ (not the worst ever)...he checks, i bet, he calls...turn 8..he checks, i bet (putting me all in) he calls and turns over J9...WTF!!!!!!!! guess what comes on the river....a 10...striaghts good donk...gg. !st was $390, so that would've been sweet, and if i win that last pot, i'm right back in it, but it wasn't meant to be...still, i'm happy with the result!! Also won $80 in a stars freeroll tourny...so it was a good day.


So this kid comes to the door selling chocolate, and i listen to his speel having ZIPPY intention of buying anything...so i wait for him to be done, and i say "sorry, i'd help you out, but i have no cash on me"...perfect right????? WRONG...the kid says "we take checks" LOL ooooops!!!!!! Chcks you say?? Ok, here you go...6 bucks down the drain...i guess i'm gonna need a better excuse next time then i dont have cash.

3 Things

1) i shot a 75 today...i doulbe bogeyed the 2nd hole...played even par the rest of the front for a 38...and went bogey bogey on 10 and 11 and played 1 under on 12-18 for a 37 on the back...my game right now feels so good its sick!! The worst part is that the double bogey was a joke, i literally topped my tee ball into the drink with my 2 iron on a 340 yard hole...oh well, it was still a GREAT round!!


2)I won my biggest pot ever today...at least i think it is...$511 bones!! It was just your classic set up hand AA vs KK vs QQ....i held QQ though baby!!! MUHAHAHAHA i raised utg...got repopped...button cold called (if he 4 bets, i fold and he wins the pot....so, slow playing AA isn't always a good thing buddy!!) so i called, and the guy who 3 bet me called...flop comes Q84...i played it to PERFECTION and got both donkeys to put their entire stack in...and it was at a deep stack table, so me and the other dude were sitting there with $200 each...ty for your monies guys!!


3) i really want to goto AC...i miss being a 3 hour drive from the Taj...sigh...

SICK day of poker

So i decieded to put in a MONSTER session today...i played 3900 hands!! I'm not sure what the most i've played in one day is...i think closer to 5000, but that was 2 seperate sessions...this was one giant session. I actually played most of it w/o pt2 running since i wanted to 12 table and it just lags to much. The grand total for the day you ask???? $3.80 LOL...thats right, a whole 3 bucks (plus another $60 in rake). Which one of these would you rather have happen to you. Getting AA vs KK all in pre flop and a King comes and lose $200...or you raise with AA, get a few callers...flop comes 884...and some moron held 8-4 offsuit and lose $200???? Can't quite decide??? Well they both happened within 10 minutes to me today...pretty fun!! I was also 2 outed twice for like $80 pots each, AND lost AK to KJ all in pre flop for $40, AK vs A9 all in pre for $40. I've literally never seen anything like it. Easily could've been like a $400 or $500 day if the best hand just held up on most of those pots. I understand that AK is only gonna beat KJ 70% of the time, but why am i NEVER on the 30% side????? I literally don't think i put my money in bad a single time today and won the pot...not once. Not only do i get sucked on constantly, but it seems i NEVER suck out...NEVER!!! The closest i ever come in winning coin flips vs short stacks.


Whatever. All this shit, and i still profitited for the day, so i guess i shouldn't complain. I really feel like my game is razor sharp right now...i'm making so many sick call downs these days that the profits have to come sooner or later. There is nothing i love more then checking my hand on the river KNOWING that the donkey will bet his missed draw, and you snap him off!!


Ok, g/f is going away for the weekend, so expect a whole lot of grinding!!

Sept Results

So, all in all it was a pretty gross month as you can see. I had a nice 5 buy in upswing to end the month, so its actually not near as bad as it was a few days b4that, but still, a disgusting, unacceptable month of poker!! I ran about $4000 below expectation this month, so weeeeeee on that (yes, for the few nerds like me who actually understand this graph, i know this isn't EXACTLY true, but it does give you a basic idea of how shitty i ran...so lol all you want at my explanation of how to interpret these graphs). Factor in the $520 in rakeback this month, and the grand total is approx -$192 PUUUUUKKKKKEEEE. Actually, mid month it was looking like i would end up down a significant amount more, so all in all, i guess its not too bad. I can't remember actually having a losing month (including rakeback) since i began blogging, so lets hope i put this month behind me and continue progressing.

Not much else to say, so i'll end it here...lets go on a month long heater baby!!! Oh yeah, i'm staying at 100nl....F 50nl!!!

I can't win at the pokers

The title pretty much says it all....i literally can't even book a winning session anymore. I'm so disgusted with poker lately that i'm ready to unistall it from my computer. I almost had a winning session yesterday but about 10 minutes b4 i quit, i held 22...middle position raises and i call..flop comes A82..jackpot baby....he bets pot...i raise...he re raises...i push, he calls and turns over pocket aces...just another set over set...bye bye $280!! I've actually failed to mention the main reason for this downswing...i just withdrew about half of my bankroll!!! The dreaded cashout curse strikes again i guess..not that i believe in this crap, but it makes you wonder...


I think i'm going to start Oct back at 50nl (this makes me sick)...i don't think i'm playing bad, but i may spend a week or so back at 50nl to get my S together.


Had a small losing week sports gambling. Illinois came through for me yesterday (even though they lost) and Tampa Bay saved the day from being a gross day, but nothing too bad. I'm kind of bitter i went with a parlay instead of just betting on teams straight up becuz i had the chargers -8 and the skins + 11.5 and they both won, but of course, they were on the parlay with the under in the Jax/Hou game...oh well, so goes the battle.

I just shot a 26...

Yes, you're reading that right....a 26!!!!!!!!! Ok, it was a par 3 course, with 2 par 4's mixed in there (went with the g/f), but if you do the math, thats still a 3 under par!!!! My short game is pretty deadly right now, so throw me on a par 3 course, and sparks are sure to fly, but a 3 under par 26?!?!?!?!!? Anyway, golf game is feeling great, and hopefully i can still get a good 2 months in before winter hits. I'm going out tomorrow morning to play, so, lets see what we can do. It's such a weird game though, one day your ball striking is amazing but you putt for anything, and the very next day, you're dropping 20 footers like they're gimmies, but you can't hit a fairway to save your life...i guess when you finally put those two things together...good things will come out of it...like 3 undrr par rounds lol

I was asked by one of my 2 readers what gets old about chillling, playing golf and playing poker....please refer to the graph at the top of this post...yes...i've run nearly $900 under expectation in the past 24 hours...that alone will make you want to quit the game...thankfully i've only lost about $500, but i mean i've NEVER seen anything like it...after quitting my session this morning, i told myself i was taking the rest of the week off...but my degeneracy is stronger then i thought, becuz i will probably be firing up 12 tables shortly lol The most insane thing ever is that i really feel like i'm playing some great poker these past few weeks...i've made some of the sickest calls and bluffs ive ever made...i don't know what is worse, the fact that i can't hit a draw to save my life, or the fact that i keep getting sucked out on when i get it in good...prime example of this...i flop top pair and a flush draw..other guy flops a set (of course he does)...we get it all in on the flop....i blank out (of course) ship $200 his way...about 20 hands later, i flop a set...some donk overbets pushes all in, i snap call...he has a flush draw, and hits...ship $200 his way. Shit like this is happening way too much...i can't remember the last time i hit a draw, and got paid ANYTHING on it...end rant.

GG Poker

So, my time has a poker pro has come to an end (thank God). I found out today that i got one of the jobs i was hoping to get here as a personal trainer at probably the best gym in the city...woooo hoooo!!! Hopefully i will be starting by the end of the week, i have to go in tomorrow for an orientation, and poker can go back to being what it is suppose to be...fun, not a job. Not that im not having fun anymore, but there really is a lot more pressure when your playing for rent money. By the looks of things, i may end up having a losing month if i don't have a very nice finish (first losing month in i don't know how long). I'm not going to sit here and complain about bad beats and running bad (even though this month may b the worst i've ever run), i'll just say that poker and me are just not getting along much these days. Bottom line, i'm very excited to start working again. It's been almost 3 months of just chilling, playing poker, and playing golf. It's been fun, but i'm ready to get back into the real world. Hopefully i won't have to be at the gym at 5am when it opens because that may take some getting use to...i'll gladly settle for an 8am start.


Ok, thats it for now...had my first losing week in sports gambling this weekend no thanks to the Euro's some how losing to the American at the Ryder cup (i actually made the bet after the friday play becuz there Euros were paying 3.5-1)...Thankfully Dallas convered the -3 and they saved it from being a brutal weekend.

Before i give you all a quick lesson, i just want to say I Love Money is pretty much the greatest show ever...The Entertainer will be missed. Onward...


So, after 2 weeks for nfl gambling, this will be my 2nd winning week...nothing big, but a profit is a profit. So this may seem very basic for the experianced sports gambler but DO NOT, and i mean DO NOT put a 3 or 7 point favorite into a parlay. I've learned from past mistakes that this will kill you everytime. You'll win your first 2 games, and the 3rd one, lets say Bears-3 will win by 3, and instead of you getting your money back for it being a push...you lose the bet. Instead, bet the bears seperately, and throw another team on the parlay. Like the title says, it's gambling 101 folks!


There...just in for a quickie...ive got the steelers -6.5, so lets hope they hang on for this win baby!!

AMAZING DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Ill start by saying i dont know what the hell is up with my paragraphs when i post my blogs. When im typing them up, they look good, then i look at the final product, and it looks like one GIANT paragrah, and is hard to read...so sorry...i'll try to figure out what the hell is wrong.


I'll start with a rant...decieded to stay up late lastnight and grind...stuck 2 hunge....weeeee...my God poker is really starting to annoy me....the thing is, i'm not playing bad poker...i have gone on mini tilt a few times this month due to some gross beats, but the mini tilt has MAYBE cost me $50-60 tops. Anyway, I played about 1k hands just now and won over $200, so i hope its turning around. Of course though, i ran KK into AA all in pre flop...and OF COURSE, it is agaisnt this smae MOTH$%FUC%*#$ that this has hapenned to 3 times in the past 10 days...i mean r u serious??????????? When he re raised me AGAIN today, i started laughing to myself thinking there is no way he has AA AGAIN when i'm holding the Kings...Wrong!! Ah well, so goes poker...dropped of 8 resumes yesterday, so hopefully i land a real job this or next week!!


Onto the amazing part of the day...decieded to go golfing today...but hadnt played in 2 weeks, so i wasnt expecting much...and i went to a course i have never played and decieded to play the middle tees because they were still 6600yards and the tips were 6900....and ended up slapping an even par 72 on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is my best round ever for 18 holes. I think the craziest thing (next to the fact that i hadnt played in 2 weeks) was that b4 the round, i got a bucket of balls to work out the rust...and hit the ball like ABSOLUTE CRAP!!!!!!!! I was literally shanking my long irons...it was GROSS!!!! On to the round. I ended up dropping a 15 footer on #1 for birdie...then stuck my approach on #3 to 5 feet, and birdied there to start out 2 under after 3!!! Ended up making a bogey on #5 and pared 789 to shoot a 1 under going out. I've shot a 1 under on 9 before, but only once. So needless to say i was on cloud 9. #10 was a short par 3 and i stuck that to 10 feet but missed the putt. Missed another 10 foot birdie on 12, and pared 13,14, and 15. So i get to the 16th tee and i realize i have a GREAT shot at keeping this round under par...possibly even under 70 if i could've sunk one of the short putts i missed...16 was a 488 par 5...i stripe my drive down the middle and have 208 in...i hit my 5 iron to 5 feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In my defense, this was a BRUTAL 5 footer with almost 2 feet of break and of course, i miss the eagle putt, but tap in for birdie, and now i'm 2 under with 2 holes to play. 17 was only 368 with water all down the right. Now usually i would play my 2 iron, and have a short iron in, but i had literally hit every drive down the middle, or a tad left, so i didn't think the water would be in play if i hit the bigdog. The plan was to hit driver, and have a little sand wedge in...that was the plan...i came out of the drive, and drop it in the center of the drink....F$%& ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, regroup...i still have a wedge in, let me walk out of here with a bogey at worst, and still be 1 under on the 18th tee...a monster chunk later, a bad chip and 2 putts and hello double bogey!!!! So now i'm even for the day on #18...a 173 par 3...so i grab my 7 iron, tell myself stick it on, 2 putt this and walk away with an even par round....CHOKE...i hit a monster pull hook and miss the green 25 yards to the left...now i'm just sick...goodbye even par ....BUT somehow, the golf Gods were smiling down on me, and i pulled off probably a 1 in 25 up and down and saved par to shot the 72...my chip actually stopped about a foot from the hole, from where i was standing i really though it was going in...oh well...72 for my best round ever...gg me!!!

So, i'm not exactly in the mood for a review seeing as i just had the sickest session since i've been playing online poker. So, that being said...August was a decent month, ended up approx. $1500 for the month...enough said. I barely played, and i probably donked off at least 100 playing razz and omha8 ( i literally had the nuts on the turn about 6 times, and never even halfed the pot on the river...just sick!!!). Bottom line...August was ok, but i need to log more hands.

On to Sept. I'm on a nice 8 buy in downswing to start the month...good times. I have a WAY too many gross beats to talk about, so i'll only talk about few. 3 limpers to me on the button, i have AA...i make it $5.5...folded to the utg limper, who limp re raises to 15 (i'm fist pumping at this point)...i deciede not to slow play it, so i make it $44...he calls...but only has like $25 left....flop comes 973 with all clubs ( i have no club, but i'm not hating life)...donkey bets $8 into the $95 pot...so i just put him all in for his last $17...he goes into the tank....lol...at this point, i feel like he's slow rolling the nuts on me, but oh well...he times down and calls...showing 52 offsuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! FIVE FUCKING TWO OFFSUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah, he has the 2 of clubs...guess what falls on the river..yes, a club...52 offsuit good sir...take it down...then of course, he insta leaves. One last beat...guy makes it $3.5...i have QQ on the button and bump it to $11 (yes, i should've made it more, but i was isolating this donkey, so i wanted to keep him around)...guy in BB smooth calls...so does the utg...flop comes 872...BB bets $15...utg calls...i make it $45...BB pushes and the other guy gets out of the way...the donkey in the bb was a 58/10/4...so i snap call him...he turns over 72 offsuit for 2 pair...he fills up on the river, and stacks me...well played sir.

This was just the tip of the iceberg this month. I've never seen anything like it. These were probably the worst 2, but i could give you another 10 or 15 betas very similar...having the STONE COLD NUTS on the turn...gettting all $300 in the pot only for the board to pair on the river, etc etc etc. I'm just sick about poker right now. I really hope its nice this week so i can play some golf because me and poker are not getting along at all.

Lastly, i'm actually going out looking for a real job tomorrow anyway, so hopefully soon i can put poker back to where it belongs...extra money...not bill money....gg life!

Not in the mood to do my August review...i think i had my biggest losing day ever in a late night sessions lastnight so F poker...KK vs AA twice...and the one time the flop came AK7, the other time it was blind vs blind all in pre flop...good times...thankfully i won a couple hunge today so i back on track here for Sept. I'll post it tomorrow i think. Although, looking at the month end graph, i really didn't run as gross as i thought i did.

Labor day weekend was fun...too much drinking and WAY too much spent on food... but it's all good.

Maybe i should try rockclimbing...

Went away for the weekend and found out i was a sick rockclimber lol. Actually, i had never done it b4 in my life, and they had this rock climbing wall maybe like 40 feet high and for $5 they gave you 2 climbs...i made it to the top both times. I must say, it was WAY harder then i thought it would be, and the wall tried to put a bad beat on me by having the last "stud thingy for your hands and feet" too small for my foot to stand on, but i pulled it off baby...my g/f...not so fortunate...good try though (again thankfully she won't be reading this)...

Anyway, month is coming to a close, and i have played an embarassing # of hands...only 19,000!!! This is gross!!! I've had a very busy month, and my g/f had a lot of it off too, but there is no excuse for only putting in 19k hands when i don't even work!!!! Oh well, maybe i can get that to 25k by the end of the month, but i doubt it, becuz once again, i'm going away this weekend (3 out of 4 weekends going away kills my poker playing!!). It's been a pretty blah month too...but, considering i haven't played too much, i can't be too upset. I'm looking for a nice surge to end the month...here's to hoping...

The ultimate bad beat

So, even the weather man decieded to team up with fulltilt and slap a bad beat on me. While i was gone for 9 days, i'm pretty sure not a single drop of rain fell because my lawn couldn't be more brown if someone actually spray painted it. I've been here for 2.5 months, and it hasn't gone more then 48 hours without rain, so the lawn looked fine with the occassional watering...i leave for 9 days...no rain..sweet, we now have the worst lawn in the neighborhood...it's my goal to get it looking decent again...i'll keep you updated

So after nearly 10 days, i log on to play some poker after a nice vacation and what happens???? I get set over seted within the first 15 minutes for $100. About 2 hours later i get set over seted again for $100, followed shortly by losing another $100 when my KJ of hearts lost with the 2nd nut flush when some moron had the A high flush and the coup de gras when i raised with AK...got re raised and just called...flop comes AKJ...sweet right...so i check to him...he pushes his stack in (like $70 into a $21 pot) i snap call...he turns over A10...Q in the river...nice hand sir....$400 down the drain...%$*& me

Vacation time

So, as you can see, i couldn't have timed my vacation any better. Going back to the homeland for a week friday, so that pretty much means no online poker for the next week. I'm sure i'll squeeze in some live poker at the local casino, so i'll have to prepare myself for the fold-fest that is live poker.

Had a pretty sick day at the tables today. It actually couid've been even sicker if, for the 2nd time this week, i didn't lose the nut full house to f-ing quads...i mean seriously twice in a week????? It's getting old!! The way this one went down to was pretty gross...i won't go into detail, but i literally probably should've folded on the flop, but proceeded to hit perfect-perfect on the turn and river giving me the full house...so if i would've won or even chopped that hand, it could've been close to a $700 day!! Finally got paid on my big hands today which was nice, and i made a few really sick bluffs to take down some nice pots (running good makes you feel invincible and bascially allowed me to have the stones to pull off these sick bluffs).

Anyway, thats it for now...for peace of mind alone, its nice to be taking a week away from "work" ending on a good note like today...i'll try to update from home if i do make it the casino...until then

Golf blog????

So i went golfing today and slapped about the strangest 79 on the U of I blue course i've ever seen. Zero birdies, 2 double bogeys, 2 fairways and only 5 greens in regulation. I hadn't been golfing in almost 2 weeks, which is easily the longest stretch ive gone this summer. My ball striking could not have been worse. Literally 90% of the shots i hit today started like 30 degrees to the right, and just stayed right there, it was the most frusterating thing of all time. Pretty much from the first ball i hit on the range today, to my last shot on 18, 90% of the shots went right, and i couldn't fix it. I usually pride myself on being able to adapt to a problem mid round, and fix it later, but today i couldn't figure it out...so annoying. My short game was SOLID today, hence the 79 instead if 85 or so....i must've had about 5 or 6 putts inside of 3 feet due to some very nice work around the greens. Anyway, i hadn't broken 80 in a few weeks, so it feels good to shot a 79, especially seeing as i hit 2 fairways and 5 greens. The most annoying part...on 3 ofthe par 5's i had irons in...and never made a F ing birdie...oh well

This hand pretty much sums up how i run in poker. .50-1.00 guy in middle postion makes in $3...im in BB with QQ, so i make it $13.50....he calls..flop comes Q66 (GIN BABY!!!)..i check it...he checks back...turn is a 7..i bet $20...he min riases to $40 (LOL ty sir), i just smooth call...river is a 4...i bet out like $35 of my last $50 (starnge way to play the hand i know, but i felt like pushing wasn't gonna get a call, so i bet almost all of it)..he pushes..i call with the nuts....WAIT....never mind Murph...he turns over 66 for the TRUE nuts and takes my $120 bucks with quads...very nice hand sir...do you work for fulltilt????? What is it like for someone to flop the stone cold nut fullhouse when your holding quads????? Good times good times...

Oh well...August is going decent i guess poker wise...FYI my SICK tv came and we set it up in tuesday, so maybe i'll take a picture and post it...you don't know how good it is to go from a 24 inch box old school tv, to a 50 inch SILLY plasma...poker has been berry berry good to me

Worst fold of all time????

Don't have too much time, so the goals post will have to wait, but i may have made the worst fold of all time. Playing .50-1nl...guy in middle position whose stats are kinda tight makes it 3.5...i have 77 so i make the call...guy in BB re pops it to 13...original guy calls, and so do i...flop comes J 7 2 rainbow...Guy in the BB bets 35...and immediately the original raiser pushes all in for like 100 total...now its on me...i should've just snap called, but i started thinking...the guy in the BB clearly has AA or KK...but the other guy...wtf could he have to push...one hand comes to mind...JJ...i went into the tank...there is now way he would do this with anything but JJ since he was a tight player...If he had AA or KK he would not have smooth called that 3 bet from the bb, he would've raised to get me out of the hand...so...after timing down to 1 second...i muck...BB calls the shove with AA..guy in the middle had his set all right...of FUCKING 2"S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would've been over a $300 pot, and i fucking mucked the winner...there was only 1 hand that beat me...one hand...and i deciede he has to have that.

Any thoughts on this hand would be much appreciated. I mean, my read was right, he has to have a set in that spot, but i just didnt think he'd have 22...his stats were so tight, im actually shocked he called the 11 re raise pre flop with 22...oh well, ended up having over a $200 day anyway, so it doesn't sting as much...but it still stings.

July Review: One gigantic waste of time

Well the title about sums it up. Just under 50,000 hands on fulltilt this month, and a whopping $47 to show for it. I guess it could've been worse, i could've quit for the month around hand 30k and been stuck amost a G. Grind doesn't even begin to describe this month. As you can see from the graph, July 1st started out shitty, and it really never got any better. I ran like complete dogshit the ENTIRE month. Bad beats aside, i probably got set over setted like 10 times at least, lost nearly a 300bb pot AA vs AA and numerous other 2, 3 and 4 outers hitting on me with all the money in. I'm really hoping to just put this disgusting month behind me and start fresh in August. Like i said last post, if things don't turn around ( how aboout i just run average for a little while, i'm not even asking to run gooooooot) i'm seriously gonna have to score a real job sooner then i planned on.

Ok, enough bitching...the good news...i TECHNICALLY made $740 this month. Factor in the $400 i got in rakeback this month, and the $300 mid year bonus from fulltilt, i ended up turning a profit, in what i hope is the worst month i have playing poker (knock on wood).

I think i'm gonna start playing 6 100nl and 3 50nl tables for my standard grinding session, and when i hook up my mouse and play 12 tables, i'll probably play 9 100nl and 3 50nl tables. This month i bascially lost $500 playing 50 nl and won $500 playing 100nl which is pretty crazy. I'm bascially on a 10 buy in downswing from 50nl which is really sickening, and i think i'm ready to move strictly to 100nl. Maybe come Sept. i can put the 50nl days behind me. I feel very confident playng 50nl but just ran like ass all month. Plus i think its a sign to move up when i'm getting pissed when i hit sets on one of my 50nl tables instead of the 100nl tables...we'll see...

I actually started playing a bit on stars again this month too. I basically played to get the few thousand pts i need for the tv. I ended up winning about $120 playing some omaha8 (which i think i'm gonna have to start dabbling in again) and cashing for $90 in that end of the month tournament, but in my grinding, lost about $200 playing hold em to pretty much breakeven for the month. I do like the stars interface better, but i really feel like the fulltilt games are softer...maybe its just me. Well, that, and i have WAY more people in my database with stas on fulltilt then stars, so my hud isnt very useful on stars.

Ok, enough babbling, maybe i'll post some goals for August tomorrow, and actually go over my july goals to see if i hit any of them...

SHIP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ship my new SICK 50 inch plasma tv courtesy of pokerstars. It looks like it finally has payed off grinding all those hours on stars. I spent ALL my frequent player points (fpp's) after initially saving for the $1000 vacation voucher, a last minute discussion with the g/f changed my mind, and i opted for the tv instead. An FYI to anyone using their fpp's...don't buy the tv's straight from the pokerstars store. Buy the $1000 giftcard and you can get like 3x the tv you could from the stars store. Just my oopinion. So yeah, i'm pretty jacked about this...it's suppose to get here tuesday or wednesday, so i'll let you know how it looks.

I'll do my month review either tomorrow or friday, but my God has this ever been a frusterating month. I've put in the most hands BAR NONE ever for a month, and i had one of my worst months in a long time. Today alone i lost AK vs AQ all in pre flop 3 times...AK vs A9 all in pre flop...AK vs 22 all in pre flop for a huge pot (donkey pumps like 80bb pre flop with 22), lost AQ vs 78 all in pre flop...this was a fun one too, and lost KK vs JJ all in pre flop 2 fucking times!!!! And lastly, i was set over setted for a $200 pot AND lost the nut fullhouse to quads. I can't wait to get a real job and go back to playing poker in my spare time.

Ship the Garmin GPS unit from the fulltilt store. I ordered it on Tuesday....it said 6-8 weeks for delivery which SUCKS, but i'm hoping to get it within the month. I really wanted to save my points for the sick plasma tv, but i figured January would be the EARLIEST i could've gotten enough points for it, plus once i actually deciede to get a job, the days of playing 3k hands are over. Living in a new city, the GPS is probably a good idea anyway.

So yeah, even if i post a break even month (which i don't think i will, i figure i've got 2 weeks left to turn it on) at least i got something out of fulltilt for July.

i raise to 1.75 with QQ...this MONSTER donkey just shoves like $10 from the bb...i call, he turns over 9-3 offsuit...two pair isa winner, nh sir...this next hand is a doozy...so i'm in the BB with AK...guy on button makes it $2 after 1 guy limps...i re raise to $8...he calls...flop comes A-10-2...sweet...so let me check it to this nutcase who i KNOW is going to bet...sure enough, he bets the pot, which is like $18...he only has like $24 total....so i clearly check raise him all in...its like $5 to call, and this guy TANKS...now i think im being slow rolled by a set becuz wtf are u doing tanking when there is over $50 in the pot, and u have $5 to call...and YOU PUT half of that money in...so he calls...and flips over 87offsuit....sweet...hes pretty much drawing dead...9 on the turn, Jack on the riv...straights good, scoop the pot sir...well played...then he INSTANTLY leaves the table...just another day...

A quick update as a spew more of my bankroll this wonderful july. For those of you who arent familar with the program "pokerev" it basically calculates what you've actually won (green line) compared to what you should have won if suckouts/luck weren't involved (red line). It doesnt take a genius to see that there is over a $1000 difference between my 2 lines...what it means is that i should be up about $500 this month instead of down $500 LOL. Variance is a bitch i guess. Oh well..i downloaded the program today just to confirm the fact that i am running like SHIT, and its not my play. I feel better seeing this disgusting graph, but, the bottom line is that i'm still stuck $500 so far in july. I'm not even asking to run "fair" i know that'll never happen...but how about just half as bad as i have been...i mean hell, at least id be even for the month not including rakeback.

2 saving graces in july. I just finished cashing my $300 mid year bonus from fulltilt (looks like thats gonna come in handy) and tomorrow i'm buying the garmin c550 gps system from the fulltilt store...i looked this bad boy up, and its pretty sick...they're seelling them for $350-$400, so even as i spew money, at least i'll get the gps system out of this month.

So i think i took literally the worst beat in the history of poker today playing 100nl. Folded to the button who makes it 3...im in BB with QQ so i mkae it 14...he calls...flop comes Q44 (decent)...so i check..he overbets like 50 of his last 60...so i just put him all in...he flips over AK...drawing dead right???? WRONG...turn is a 4...river...4...giving us both quad 4's...and he has an ACE kicker...nh sir...enjoy my money. This hand sums up my morning as i lost another 2 bills...good times.

So i welcomed July with my worst day ever. Fun stuff!!!!!!!!!!! I literally couldn't hit anything. I must've had about 75 nut flush draws on the flop, and miss every single one of them!!! I took a few gross beats and set up hands along the way, but for the most part it was just a slow and steady losing session. I ran KK into AA for a stack...got set under set for another stack ran my AK into a nutcase donkeys AA all in pre flop for another stack...flopped a boat holding 77 on a 744 board...only for the donkey with JJ to river a jack and take another stack from me, and numerous other failures like me NEVER getting paid on a single set i hit all day. Oh well, it was a pretty disappointing day, and i'm kind of down in the dumps, but i'm not sweating it....tomorrow is a new day.

June Review

Yes i know i dont update this thing anymore, and ive come to a crossroads whether i will continue to update it or not. I really do not want to just post my monthly success/failure, but that appears all the blog is now. Anyway, ill discuss this at a later date. This was the month of June...my 1st as a "pro" poker player. (pro is used very loosely...i'm currently unemployed, so, this is my only means of income). It was a good month, especially considering i didnt even play poker for the 1st 8 days of the month. Im too lazy to get exact to the dollar, but according to pokertracker, i made approx $2000 this month, plus another $310 in rakeback for a grand total of $2310 this month. I was very lazy only knocking out 30k hands seeing as i couldve played a whole lot more during the day, but spent a lot of time on the golf course. Regardless, june was a solid month, and as you can tell by the graph, never really had a losing stretch of more then a day or 2, and they were small at that.

Looking into July, i'm probably going to up the number of 100nl tables i'm playing so instead of 6 50nl and 3 100nl, i'll probably goto something like 5 50nl and 4 100nl or 4 50nl and 5 100nl. i'm hoping to play at least 50k this month (which would be my most ever). I'll try to post at least once in the next week to update the situation of the blog, and whether or not im gonna keep it going, until then...

lol live poker

So, while i'm visiting the homeland for the week i decieded to hit up the local casino (the old stomping grounds) and play some live poker. First off, live poker blows!! I can't believe how much i use to like it, and how much i don't now. I am use to seeing anywhere from 500-700 hands an hour playing online...lastnight, i saw about 20-25 hands an hour. If your card dead for like 100 hands or so...thats 3 or 4 F ing hours!!!!!!!! The game is soooooooooooooooo sssssslllllllloooooowwwwwwwwww its ridiculous! Anyway, i put in about an 8 hour session, and ended up making like $310, so i really shouldnt be complaining, but online poker and live poker really are 2 different games. In 8 hours of poker i hit ZERO sets, not a single F ing straight, and 2 flushes that come to mind (one of them i got paid nicely) and thats about it. Never picked up AA or KK...got QQ once and lost a $150 pot when some crazy asian picked up AK and spiked his K, and thats about it. 8 hours of small ball poker. The table was truely filled with donkeys the whole night though. It seemed like everytime one of the donkeys would bust, they'd call in a biggerr donkey. I planned on leaving around 1130 or so, but i was there until 2am, and even then, i shouldn't have left since there were still 4 MONSTER donks at this table.

My 3 fav. hands of the night. 1) its like my 5th hand or so, i pick up AK and make it 12, 4 guys call...flope comes Q88...the small blind leads for 12...LOL...im next to act and fold, the other 2 guys fold, and the small blind tables 45 offsuit HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...then proceeds to mumble something and stare me down like he just pwnd me. 1b) very next hand i pick up AQ...raise it again...dude in the small blind, now the button, calls...flop comes AQ5 (jackpot!!!!) i bet 15...he min raises to 30...i make it 80..he smooth calls (im still loving life thinking at best he has A5, but he probably doesnt even have that...turn comes a 9...i check (slick)...he bets 20...i check raise him to 100, he mucks...ty sir...keep trying to pwn the only good player at the table. 2)i wont get into all the action here, but it was a raised pot...6 guys saw the flop (standard) board came 934 rainbow....sb checked, bb bet 15...ALL OF THEM CALL THE 15...the small blind who checked, now check raises to 100..the original better tanks, and calls the 100 and hes all in...everyone else folds...get ready for this...the check raiser had 84 for middle pair...the guy who called the 100 all in...oh he had a gutshot A5 HAHAHAHAHAHA i swear to god this happened...84 held and he won like a $270 pot...needless to say by the time i left, that guy was now stuck over $600 lol.

ANyway, the moral of the story is that live poker can really be lol sometimes. Its SOOOOO much easier to pick out the donkeys and the scared money, that i feel like eventhough i'm playing insaenly tight, becuz im use to playing 9 or 12 tables at once and HAVE to play tight, there is no way i'm gonna lose money 95% of the time. I made a sick 3 bullet bluff on this guy becuz he was about as scared money as there ever was at a poker table, and i knew he didn't have the stones to call the $50 river bluff without top pair...he tabled middle pair has he folded...i showed him my chinese flush LOL. Later i made a pretty sick river call with 3rd pair for $40 when i knew this guy was betting his missed draw...half the table thought it was a sick call (which it was) the other half thought i was a huge donkey lol

Ok, enough babling, vacation is over on sunday, and its back to online poker for me then...i may be hitting up the casino one more timer while i'm here, if i do, im sure i'll have some similar stories

I am alive...May review

Ok, sorry for the lack of updates...its been an insanely rectic last few weeks. I wont bore you with the details, but as of 6am this morning, i am officially unemployed...tyty....yup, my "dream" job fell through, but i decieded to move anyway, which means i'm officially an online poker player now...well, an online investor if anyone asks LOL. I'm leaving for the 12 hour drive friday morning, which means poker in may has come to a close.

All in all it was a good month (especially after posting a $325 win today!!!!!). I've pretty much given up on pokerstars by the way, so i'm not even going to boe you with the details of how i did in may other then the grand total. Pokerstars +$40...whoooooo hooooo. It was a gross month. the only reason i'm up for the month is becuz of the stars freerolls (which i will no longer be able to play since this is the 1st month in well over a year i didn't make gold status). I made a semi deep run in the 5000 fpp tourny lastweekend only to get bounce inside the top 1000 when my 99 couldn't hold agaisnt 77 all in pre flop...this was for a monster stack, and i wouldve won some serious cash...instead, i won $225. F you stars..good ridence for a while...full tilt, here i come forever...

The above graph is my fulltilt month. I've actually moved up in limits a bit as i'm now playing 7 50nl tables and 2 100nl tables all at once. Starting next month, i'm gonna up it to 6 50nl and 3 100 nl...and continue moving up tables like this. I played 5 donkaments in may...OMG 5!!!!! what happened to me!!! and bascially broke even with a -3 roi...who cares. I played 33k of 50 nl and won $395 (a pretty bad winrate) and played 3k hands of 100nl and won $556. I also mixed in some heads up, and a druken session of 200nl for a grand total of $899 in cash games. Factor in the approx. $330 of rakeback and the grand total for the month is approx. +$1257!! Add the nubs from stars and it was a $1300 month!! Which keeps me WELL on pace for a 10k year.

Ok, thats it for now, i'll try to make a post in the next couple of days, but unfortunately, i probably wont be playing any poker for at least a week...OMG what am i going to do!!!

Fun afternoon...not so much

Had a lot of fun playing this afternoon...up until about hand 621...thats a nice looking drop isn't it?? The funny thing is, around hnad 550 or so, i was about to text someone telling them fulltilt is giving some back after WHORING me yesterday....this down slope was courtesy of my AA vs 66..all in pre flop for $100 pot....yes 66 for 50 bucks...then he started ripping me after the hand... about 10 hands later, utg raises, i call with AK on button...flop comes AK7 rainbow...long story short...he had the fucking Aces!! thanks for that one fulltilt...then about 50 hands later, this guy made one of the sickest/worst calls ive ever seen in my life to take another stack from me...i raised pre flop...raised him on the flop...raised him on the turn...and pushed all in over his bet on the river...he called with top pair shitty kicker on a 3 striaght and flushy board LOL...at this point i IMMEDIATELY shut down fulltilt!! lol

Oh well...i'm off to a pretty good start for the month, so i'm not complaining...but ive cooled down a bit the past couple days...so lets try to reactivate my boomswitch baby!!

GOAL GOAL GOAL

Goals for May: WIN MONEY!!! Well, aside from the obvious, i just want to play good poker. I feel like if i put in a good volume, and play solid poker and NOT run like shit, that the potential for a really big month is there for the taking. I'm not even asking to run like God, just let the best hand hold when it should. Unfortunately, this is going to be a busy month for me, and i probably wont be able to put in a crazy # of hands. The only real 2 goals i'm setting are 1) $1500 in profit...this is NOT too much to ask seeing as i won half of that last month and ran like death for the frist 2 weeks....AND after 2 days in may, i'm up a decent amount (JINK!!!) and 2) Snag a top 3 in a multi table...i'm actually gonna playa few more this month, so a nice score would be nice (i figure 4 months of running bad in them means im overdue!!!). Those are the only goals i'm setting.

Quickly, i'm making the big move at the end of the month to halfway across the country to move in with the g/f...so farewell poker LOL...kind of...the months of playing 50k hands i think are over...so thats also why i'm hoping May can be a big month...i'll keep you all posted on the move becuz i know your dying to here more about it lol

Pokerstars month....BLAH Review B

This is how pokerstars went for the month...as you can see, i got off to a really nice start lol...oh well...grinded my way back to close to even playing cash games. Bottom line, i ended up down $550 on stars this month. For starters, i was actually down about $100 more then this graph shows in cash games...somehow an entire session got deleted from pokertracker, so it didnt register, but i was stuck about $100. Lost probably close to $300 playing omaha8 (literally the worst run ive ever had in that game...ive never held the nuts so many times in my life on the flop and turn, only to have someone spike their gin card EVERYTIME on the river...sick). I only played 7 tournaments onstars the enitre month (sigh...i miss multi tables) and lost around $60. Sng's i only play 16 this month, and ended up down $15. I guess thats about it...i actually cashed in a few freerolls on starts in april, so give or take, that was the breakdown fore the month.

Grand total for both sites...$770 for April...(begin applause)...Seeing as i started the month down $1000...its feels pretty nice to turn a profit of almost $800!!

I need to watch lost here b4 i goto work, so i wont post my goals for may until tomorrow....but to be quite honest, im glad april is over...it was a very swingy month, and i'm hoping for a little more consistency in may...

A Tale of 2 sites: review A Fulltilt

Well its that time of the month again....time for a wrap up. As most of you know, i started the month on a DISGUSTING stretch finding myself down 1k..."things change mox" and here are the totals .

The above graph is my month on fulltilt just cash games. All in all, i was up $1230 for the month on fulltilt (this number includes $300 from rakeback...VERY nice...and $150 won playing some donkaments). Whatever is left probably came from some omaha8 i played and i cashed in a couple freerolls during the month. As you can see, once my doomswitch was turned off, i started to really put up some nice results, but that start to the month was so gross, i just oculdn't post another SICK month, but i'll definately take $1200 considering after 18k hands, i was down nearly $500!!

So i decieded to make this afternoon a donkament day...flamed in all my stars tournies (standard) but fulltilt was a bit different. Played in a $14 satalite for the $50 330 toruny and won the satalite, so i was free rollin' for the $50...bottom line, ended up coming in 14th for $150...on the whole i'm happy, but the hand i went out with was a doozy...im in the BB with 10bb's sitting in 11/14...folded to the SB who just shoves...i wake up with AK (YES!!!) i snap call...he turns over 106 offsuit....10 on the river gg murph....yes, i threw up on my laptop when this happened. If i win this pot, i'm sitting pretty nice, and looking at making the final table where the winner gets 4k...whatever, i run like shit, and i can never run good enough to EVER win a donkament, and ive accepted that. Earlier in the tourny, i was chipping up nicely, i made a standard raise with AK....guy shoves all in over the top...i call, he has AJ...Jack on the turn LOL...this pot would've put me in 2nd place and i wouldve been crusing...instead i had to play a mid-short stack the whole way...it just doesn't stop ya know!!

I will say this though...i did suck out on the bubble to stay alive...had like 4500 with blinds at like 300-600...36 ppl got paid and there were like 39 left...i pick up A10...fodled to me...i push...get a call...bb goes all in, other guy folds...bb has KK..i hit my ace to triple up. blah blah blah, thats tournament poker i know...but its these frusterations that have made me HATE playing them now a days!

So i finally figured how to use poker grapher which ive had downloaded for months ( F ing windows vista is a BITCH)... this graph is my April so far on fulltilt...you can precisely see when my fulltilt doomswitch was turned off. I'm on a nice run this past week on fulltilt. I hope this doesn't jinx it, but i just wanted to post a graph to see if i could get it working. From now on, i'll be posting graphs at the end of every month, so having a nice visual for you guys will be nice...you're all welcome...

Actually, one negative thing about this graph is it shows just how many hands i've played this month...and its only the 20th!!!!! WTF!!! lol when you're thinking what a degenerate i am, dont forget the thousnads of hands ive played on stars....the sngs...AND the tournies...this is just fulltilt cash...to all my family who read this...start planning that intervention LOL j/k!

It has been brought to my attention that the reason for my most recent downswing on your site has been that my doomswitch has been activated for some reason. I have been a very loyal customer for a few years now, and have done nothing but create tons of rake for you, and in return, after posting my biggest month ever, i am now on a sickening losing streak. At first, i thought it might just be bad play, but this is not the case (i'm still on a roll on a rival site when i play there). The only logical conclusion i can come too, is that my doomswitch must have "accidently" been flicked on (maybe you were reaching for lesmurphy8's doomswitch, and hit mine instead). I'm not asking you to turn on my boomswitch or anything like that, just please turn off my doomwitch, and we'll call it even. I think this is fair for both of us, beause if i continue to run like ASS on your site, i will have no choice but to bring my play to a rival site, and we both end up losers in the end.

Non poker blog??? Kind of...

So i hit the links for the 1st time this year on tuesday (i'm a BIG golf nut), and i'm not sure if this is a good sign of things to come or not, but my 1st drive of the year i STRIPED one down the middle about 270 leaving me like 210 into a par 5...5 shots later i walked away with a bogey LOL....pull hooked my 4 iron into a forest, and hacked my way out through there...blah. Ended up shooting an 83 which i was pretty happy about seeing as it was the 1st time out..the only reason i'm slightly upset about it was the fact that i think my putter has been possessed by pokerstars....i missed 7 f ing putts inside of feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about bad beat!! Even if i made 3 of these, i probably would STILL be bitter about missing 4 short putts, and would've shot an 80! Oh well...my ball striking was solid, and aside from my putter, my short game was solid...all in all, a good day...i think i'm going again monday

Well, if you would've asked me 4 hours ago, i would've told you i may have turned things around. Ask me now, and i'll tell you i think fulltilt has stuck it to me enough for the month, but stars isn't quite done.

I booked a solid $240 win on fulltilt today. Nothing much to report about the session, other then the best hand held up most of the time (funny how i win money when that happens). One significant hand that I KNOW i would've lost a week ago went like this. I called a min raise from an early position guy with 22...6 ppl saw the flop of 852 with 2 clubs...original raiser bets 4...i'm next to act so i make like 12....get 3 f ing smooth calls....and then the original riaser pushes all in for 50 (playing .25-.50)...im not worried about him since id basically bet the house he has AA, but i am slightly worried about the other guys....never the less, i'm not folding this, so i call the push...and SO DO THE OTHER 3 GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 of us all in...when the other 3 guys called, i figured soneone had a set...nope....original guy had AA, 2 of the other morons had flush draws ( like 109 of clubs and k8 of clubs), and the 3rd guy had 34 for an open ended straight draw....somehow, the 3rd club never came, and my hand held, and i won a monster...ty fulltilt!!

Pokerstars on the other hand....can die!! 8th hand of my session, i get set over set when the flop comes A94 and i have 99...clearly i'm up agaisnt the Aces...down $100 instantly...about 30 minutes later i get it all in pre flop with AA on a KQ874 board...other guy had KK...thankfully he didnt have a fullstack....somehow i managed to with like $40 in this sessions of about 500 hands. Then i sit down to play about 3 hours ago...and got killed....lost like $170...2 sweet hands....i have AA in sb...folded to button who is tight, who makes it $4....i re raise to 13...he calles...flop come 764...(this is a good flop since he's tight, i KNOW he wouldn't call a re raise with any of this junk)...so i bet like 24 (almost pot).....he calls.....turn Q...FUCK!! he could easily have QQ here...so i check...he checks behind...river pairs the board iwith a 4...i'm ready to just check call since i feel he has QQ...he bets like 35...i HAVE to call...he turns over QQ...nice 2 outer for ya! I actually think i lost the minimum cuz if i bet the turn, we're getting it all in if he raises. This last hand is buggin me, and is just a classic example of pokerstars whoring me...utg min raises (STRONG) gets like 6 callers, and i'm in the BB with 68s...i call...flop Q86 (YES!!!!) i check, utg bets the pot...gets 1 call...here's where i make my move...i check raise him to like $43...he INSTA PUSHES for like $65 more....other guy folds and its on me...looking back, i think i should've folded becuz he would have to be a true donk to make that play with AA or KK after my huge check riase...so i grudgingly call....he turns over QQ for top set when i flopped 2 pair...gg murph.

After this last hand, i just INSTANTLY shut pokerstars down...i was in such a good mood after the fulltilt session, and that happens...so frusterating!! NOTHING holds anymore, or i get put in spots that are next to impossible to get away from...not to mention i don't hit my draws anymore...sigh...

Oh well, it was a winning day on the whole, and hopefully i've turned it around on fulltilt ( i actually changed my avatar b4 i played today...and killed it...i think there is something to that...i'm now the donkey, with a confused look on his face)

So today was suppose to be a big multi table day, but i shut it down early after i was bounced from 3 tournaments 1)AA vs 77 all in pre flop 2) JJ vs A7 all in pre flop 3) AK vs A5 all in pre flop. These do not include my KK vs QQ all in pre flop during the $5 re buy for a huge stack, and of course i bust with 1010 vs AK...at least it was in the money...i lose every race, i get sucked out on, and yet, i managed to cash...so that was it for the hold em tournies...i was bounced from an omha8 tourny when some MORON hit a 1 outer on the river to bust me, he needed the 4 of hearts to come, and sure enough...4 of hearts on the river... i just laughed and closed the table...its times like these where i'm glad my chat is banned (speaking of which....its been over a month now...am i ever getting it back?) Managed to come in 3rd in the $5 rebuy omaha8 on fulltilt though for $125 which was nice! With 12 left, i was leading, and i guess wasnt paying attention, and misread my hand, thinking i hit the nut straight on the river, when actually i missed...so i came out betting the pot (it was a huge pot too) and he called and scooped with the nut low, and a pair of 8's LOL...this put me in dead last since the guy who i was in the pot with was 3rd at the time...i grinded my way back though, and took home a decent piece of change...why i even bother playing hold em tournies any more is beyond me...

So, how is the cash game going you ask?? Here is 1 hand that tells it all... i limp with 22...we see the flop 4 way...it comes 442 (decent flop) sb min bets...bb min raises (at this point, u cant take the grin off my face) so i make it like 6...sb min raises me to like 11...bb flat calls...(clearly the both have the 4 now)...so i make it 30...sb pushes all in...bb snap calls...and me, who has the mortal nuts since these morons obviously each have a 4 calls....$140 in the pot...sb has A4....bb has 46...i have 22...6 on the turn...ship it to the guy with the worst hand....nuff said

It really is sickening how bad i'm running right now...i dont even know what to do. I'm sick of complaining about it, but i literally NEVER get it in bad and win...the only time i EVER win a pot, is when i get it in good...and even then, i only with about %50 of those...one more sweet hand and im done....utg raises to 1.75...i smooth call on button with AQ...moron in BB pushes for like 33...original raiser folds...now usually this is a fold, but this guy had been a maniac, and i was looking to gamble since i'm on perma semi-tilt these days...so i call expecting a race...oh my bad, he flips over the best possible hand...QJ...i hit my ace in the flop (hand over right?)...it goes runnning hearts and he takes it down...nh sir...well played

Lastly, its not the amount of money that i'm losing thats buggin me ( i'm actually only down like $100 on fulltilt this month)...its the beats i cant deal with....i'm losing every session, but only a small amount each time, when in reality they should be big winning sessions....oh well, i know it'll turn around...
